40 Gallon Barrel with Pump

Oak Barrel Water Butts
These traditional oak barrels are all refurbished rum or whisky barrels.  They can be used as very attractive water butts but care should be taken to ensure that they are well washed out first!  There may be some residual leeching from the timber so water should be used only for suitable applications.
Diverter inlets can be drilled in the side of the barrels or a downpipe can be fed straight into the lid although provision for overflows must be made if this is the case.
Our barrels all come with a traditional tap which is usually placed about 12" from the base.  If watering cans are to be used the barrel should be raised slightly.
A novel altenative is to choose the 40 Gallon barrel with a fitted cast iron hand pump to add to the authenticity!
Dimensions - as they are all refurbished barrels sizes will vary and are sold as a minimum 40 Gallon or 60 Gallon sizes.

Rain Diverter
Our universal rain diverter kit fits all standard 65mm square and 68mm round downpipes.  It captures most water flowing down the gutter outlet is designed to prevent overfilling.

Rain Diverter and Filter
When using pumps or when there is significant debris from the roof we recommend using a combined diverter with filter.  Our universal rain diverter & filter kit fits all standard 65mm square and 68mm round downpipes.

Butt/Tank Connector Kit
Two butts or tanks can be connected to create higher volume storage.  This kit includes two tank connectors and a 500mm long connecting hose that can be cut to size.

Pumps
This water butt can be used with garden water butt pumps and pressure washers.  However, before buying pumps and/or pressure washers you will need to check the rate of water used by the pump and compare it with the capacity of your chosen barrel.
